Catcher's Interference on Swing with HBP

With a runner (R2) on second base and a 1-1 count, R2 is stealing on the pitch. While B1 is swinging, B1's bat hits the catcher's out-stretched mitt AND the pitch hits B1's hands! The ball rolls foul.

Because he saw B1 swing and the ball roll foul, the defensive coach wants a strike called and R2 returned to second base. The offensive coach thinks B1 should be awarded first base because B1 was hit by the pitch. The plate umpire saw and heard the catcher's mitt hit by B1's swing. What does the umpire do now?

Call
When a catcher obstructs the batter, it is a delayed dead ball (NF 5-1-2b). If the batter does not reach first base, he is awarded first base. Runners attempting to advance are awarded the base that they are attempting (NF 8-1-1e).

In the situation below, B1 is awarded first base and R2 is awarded third base.
