Two Runners Occupying Same Base

When there are two runners on the same base at the same time and both are tagged, it is sometimes tricky to determine who is out. This came very close to happening to me while I had the bases last weekend. In my case, I called R3 out just before R3 joined R2 on third base -- so I did not have to decide, but what if...

With bases loaded, no count, and no outs, all runners are stealing on the pitch. The batter does not realize that the suicide squeeze is on -- so the batter takes the pitch for a strike. R3 gets in a rundown between 3rd base and home. R3 is run back to 3rd base, where he dives back safety into 3rd base. However, R2 is also standing on 3rd base.

What is the call if, while both R3 and R2 are in contact with 3rd base:
A. R3 is tagged first and then R2?
B. R2 is tagged first and then R3?

Call
On the pitch, none of the runners were forced to the next base, so each is entitled to return to their base, if they choose to. In this non-force situation, R3 is protected if he is in contact with 3rd base. R2 is not protected at 3rd base and is at risk of being put-out.

In the situation below, R2 is out - no matter who is tagged first.
