Missed Tag at Home

With a runner on 2nd, the batter singles. The runner attempts to score and it is a close play at home. The catcher has the ball in his glove, swipes at the runner, but misses the tag. The runner slides past home without tagging home. What does the umpire do:

A. Signal "Safe". The run counts. Similar to first base, if the runner crosses home untagged, he is called safe.
B. Signal "Out".  He did not tag home as he was legally required to do.
C. No call, The runner is neither out nor safe.

Call
In this case, the proper mechanic is to not signal or verbalize "safe" or "out". After the runner leaves the field, the defense may attempt a proper appeal. If they do not, the run counts.
