MLB Game Situation

Runners on first and third and one out. The batter bunts to the third baseman who checks the runner at third and then throws to first base to try to retire the batter-runner. The throw hits the batter-runner's helmet while the runner has his left foot outside the 45 foot runner's lane. The throw bounces off the batter-runner's helmet and into the stands. When the ball enters the stands, the runner at third had crossed home and the runner that started at first base had rounded second base. What is the call and place the runners?

Call
The batter-runner is outside the three-foot running lane when struck by the throw to first. The batter-runner is out and all other runners return to their bases at the time of pitch: NF 8.4.1(g).

Is the call different if the batter-runner's left foot is on the foul line when he is struck by the third baseman's throw?

Call
The batter-runner is inside the three-foot running lane, so when he is hit by the thrown ball, the ball remains live until it goes out of play. When the ball goes out of play, the runners are awarded two bases from the time of the pitch -- so one run scores, the runner on 1st is awarded 3rd, and the
batter-runner is awarded 2nd base. NF 8-3-3(c)
