Placing the Runners



The bases are loaded with no outs. The batter hits a fair line drive to left field. The left fielder secures the base hit and fires a Bryce Harper-like rocket to the third baseman. The throw hits the third baseman in the knee and the ball slowly dribbles out of play.
 
The question: Each runner, including the batter-runner are awarded:
A) One base, or
B) Two bases

...and determined from the base occupied by the runners at the time of the:
A) Pitch
B) Throw by the outfielder
C) That the ball contacted the third baseman
D) That the ball went out of play

The answers are B and B. The ball is immediately dead (5-1-1g) and the runners are awarded two bases from the time of the throw: 8-3-3c and 8-3-5.
