Runner Leaping over Catcher
With a runner (R2) at second base, the batter singles and R2 rounds third base and attempts to score. The catcher receives the throw from the outfield, steps into the baseline, and drops to one knee to tag R2. However, R2 leaps over top the catcher (without contacting him) and R2 is able to touch home plate before he is tagged.
What should umpire do (may be more than one):
A) Legal play, there was no contact. The run scores and play on!
B) R2 is out for jumping over top the catcher.
C) R2 is warned for his actions.
D) R2 is ejected for his actions.
