Thrown Bats, Part 1

In the third inning, the lead-off batter hits a double to the fence. However, he accidentally throws the bat and the bat strikes the catcher in the chest (or strikes the umpire, or strikes the backstop, or ends up in the middle of the infield). What does the umpire do?

a. The batter who threw the bat is out
b. The batter who threw the bat is ejected
c. The next batter on either team that throws a bat is out
d. The next batter on either team that throws a bat is ejected
e. The next batter on the same team that throws a bat is out
f.  The next batter on the same team that throws a bat is ejected
g. The coach of the team that threw the bat is issued a team warning

Call
NF 3.3.1c has a team warning issued to the coach of the team. The next thrown bat on that team results in an ejection (so items "G" and "F" are correct below). There is never an out for a thrown bat, although the defensive coach often demands one. For the team warning, you should make the rule and penalty very clear to the coach.
